Film converting
Film converting turns base films into finished, print-ready packaging laminate — slitting reels to width, printing graphics, and laminating multiple layers for barrier performance. Vedvik in-house systems slit at up to 400 m/min with servo-controlled tension, and laminate using solvent-less, dry and wet processes up to 1,600 mm web width.
Consistent slit width, registration and bond strength are what make downstream pouching and FFS run reliably. Converting in-house gives film suppliers and large manufacturers control over quality, lead time and cost across the whole flexible-packaging chain.
