Horizontal form-fill-seal (HFFS) machines
A horizontal form-fill-seal (HFFS) machine is the right architecture when your product ships in a premium pouch — stand-up, spouted, ziplock or a shaped die-cut pack. Because the pouch is formed and filled lying flat, product is placed rather than dropped by gravity, which is exactly what makes shaped and resealable formats possible at high speed. The Effytec HB Series runs these formats at up to 320 packs per minute with one to three filling stations.
It suits powders, granules, liquids and pastes across food, beverage, personal care and pharmaceutical lines, and works with PE, PET, ALU and mono-material films for recyclability. Typical applications include sauces and purees in spouted pouches, premium snacks in stand-up packs, and powders in ziplock pouches. Format changeover is built around repeatability, so a single line can serve several SKUs without long downtime.
